Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Duty. platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. The service
Duty. provides a digital platform for capturing, storing, and managing fire compliance evidence on construction projects. We set up project portals, issue QR-coded drawings, and support the documentation of passive fire protection works.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of evidence and information you upload.
- You must keep your access credentials and project codes secure.
- You agree to use the platform only for lawful compliance purposes.
- You must not misuse, reverse engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service.
4. Accounts and access
Access is granted per project. Duty. may assign roles and permissions. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached or where a project is completed or archived.
5. Compliance evidence
Duty. stores evidence records to support compliance with Regulation 38 and the Golden Thread. While we take care to store data securely, responsibility for the correctness and completeness of uploaded evidence remains with the project team.
6. Data processing
We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You retain ownership of the evidence and documents you upload; we act as a data processor on your behalf to store and present that information for compliance purposes.
7. Liability
Duty. is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete evidence uploaded by project teams.
8. Intellectual property
The Duty. platform, branding, and software remain our property. Evidence and documents you upload remain owned by you or your project stakeholders.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
